Stay informed with\u00a0<em>travel news<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>updates<\/em><\/li>\r\n \t\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-62895\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/df35.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"757\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/df35.jpg 634w, https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/df35-251x300.jpg 251w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Starbucks said it had fired a barista who printed &#8216;Pig&#8217; on the cup labels of several Kiefer police officers working on Thanksgiving Day at the company&#8217;s Glenpool, Oklahoma location<\/p>\n<p>Price said that she tried to make the situation right with the officer before he left the store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe laughed it off, said it was cool,\u201d Price said. \u201cI handed him his blueberry muffin and I went back off the floor to continue doing my shift manager duties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But later, another officer, Kiefer Chief of Police Johnny O\u2019Mara,\u00a0wrote on Facebook\u00a0about his colleague\u2019s coffee run.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town,\u201d O\u2019Mara said in the post.<\/p>\n<p>His post went viral and prompted Starbucks to fire the employee who printed the labels \u2014 and also\u00a0drew a response\u00a0from a woman claiming to be O\u2019Mara\u2019s daughter, who said he \u201cabsolutely\u201d is a pig.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Starbucks partner who wrote this offensive word on a cup used poor judgement and is no longer a partner after this violation of company policy,\u201d the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The statement, however, doesn\u2019t make any mention of Price\u2019s termination.<\/p>\n<p>She said she received a call Thursday evening from her supervisors informing her that she was being fired.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThey, to make it seem like they were right on top of everything, which they are \u2026 they terminated me from my position with no cause,\u201d Price told KTUL.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee chain didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment, the report said.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A manager of the Oklahoma Starbucks where a\u00a0cop received an order labeled \u201cPig\u201d\u00a0says she was wrongfully fired because the coffee chain was \u201clooking for someone to take the blame,\u201d according to a report.
