Stay informed with\u00a0<em>travel news<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>updates<\/em><\/li>\r\n \t\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The robbers then pistol-whipped King and kicked him while the man\u2019s wife, who is eight months pregnant,\u00a0retreated into the bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,\u201d King told the outlet. \u201cHe made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police said in a press conference that they found the man\u2019s dead body lying in the ditch nearby. The second suspect was on the loose.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowner said he took a \u201csevere beating,\u201d but credited his wife for saving him.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,\u201d said King.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThem guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it.
