Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski\u00a0recently wore only a \u201ccozy as well\u201d sports bra\u00a0coupled with an open blazer and leggings to a breakfast event.\u00a0In June, Kim Kardashian launched her\u00a0Kimono shapewear\u00a0line \u2013\u2013 which she is\u00a0renaming\u00a0after much backlash.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, even young women have had it when it comes to putting on a show: \u201cAge doesn\u2019t matter much anymore when it comes to comfort,\u201d Cohen says.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to that, there\u2019s a decreasing stigma against athletic wear, given that offices now have less strict corporate dress codes, and more people work from home. Plus, women participate in a bigger variety of activities throughout the day, the analysts say.<\/p>\n<p>It also helps that it\u2019s now totally acceptable to wear underwear as outerwear, or just underwear alone \u2013\u2013 \u00e1 la the Kardashians\u2019\u00a0recent family portrait-slash-advertisement for Calvin Klein, in which the whole squad was decked in the brand\u2019s underwear sets.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cYou can have different style bras, but at the core of [the] sports bra, it\u2019s about [the desire for] comfort,\u201d president of an intimates group Mary van Praag tells WWD.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria\u2019s Secret has notably\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0gotten behind the trend, although that\u2019s no surprise coming from the intimates giant, lingerie startup COO Romain Liot tells WWD.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are in the business to sell bras to please the eyes of men,\u201d Liot says.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sturdy support system with sensible coverage is the new lace.
