The last thing she said was, \u2018Go help the girls.\u2019 The girls rallied around her. They\u2019re doing this for her right now,\u201d he said, adding that he\u2019s never seen anything like this in decades of coaching.<\/p>\n<p>Abby Milliet, another gymnast, said that \u201cwe want to feel sad for Sam right now, but this is not what she would have wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSam has put everything into this and she\u2019s going to want us to give everything. This is our new fire,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Louisiana State University\u2019s Ruby Harrold said she prayed for Cerio when she suffered the devastating injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was really upsetting,\u201d LSU coach D.D. Breaux of her injury. \u201cI saw the look on (our team doctor\u2019s) face and he ran across the floor with lightning speed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the New York Post, Cerio was screaming in pain and clutched both her legs before she was tended to by medical staff on the premises.<\/p>\n<p>The Auburn team finished with an overall score of 197.075 and advanced to the regional final.<\/p>\n<p>Cerio issued a&nbsp;statement on Twitter: \u201cI love my team #WarEagle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the Post reported that the team came up short during the regional finals and finished fourth-place.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cI think we were out of gas,\u201d Graba said after the final. \u201cEmotionally spent. But I thought the girls fought hard.
