We want action,\u201d Goldbloom&nbsp;told ESPN\u2019s \u201cOutside the Lines\u201d&nbsp;on Wednesday. \u201cIf they agree to make changes to improve safety for fans, then I\u2019ll go down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple was sitting in the loge level on the first-base side of home plate for the Dodgers\u2019 Aug. 25 game last season. A Padres batter hit a foul ball that cleared the protective netting and hit Linda, 79. She died four days later, though it went largely out of the public eye until ESPN confirmed in February from the coroner\u2019s report that her cause of death was \u201cacute intracranial hemorrhage due to history of blunt force trauma\u201d from the baseball hitting her.<\/p>\n<p>Goldbloom confirmed the two sides previously reached an undisclosed settlement over his family\u2019s lawsuit seeking damages, but he said he won\u2019t be going back to any Dodgers games until action is taken to better protect fans.<\/p>\n<p>While all 30 teams expanded their protective netting before last season, there have still been calls for further safety measures in ballparks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t have anything to announce at this time,\u201d a Dodgers spokesman told ESPN.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A moment of silence won\u2019t be good enough for a Dodgers fan who is now a widower.
