The friendship between Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle has hit a rough patch, an insider says.<\/p>\n

The two actresses were pals, and Priyanka was a guest at Meghan\u2019s wedding to Prince Harry in May.<\/p>\n

But the Duchess of Sussex declined to attend Priyanka\u2019s wedding to Nick Jonas in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cPriyanka was crushed,\u201d said one source.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why, my sources say, the Bollywood star, known to Americans as the star of ABC\u2019s \u201cQuantico,\u201d declined to attend Markle\u2019s baby shower last weekat the Mark Hotel. Serena Williams and Amal Clooney co-hosted the shower, with attendees such as Gayle King.<\/p>\n

It was reported that Chopra was \u201cbogged down\u201d in Los Angeles with meetings about a book she is writing, but sources believe the real reason is that Markle hurt her feelings by not coming to her wedding.<\/p>\n

(A source told Us Weekly that Markle didn\u2019t attend Chopra\u2019s wedding because of her pregnancy.)<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir friendship is over unless Meghan apologizes,\u201d said one source. \u201cPriyanka is a huge international star with a tremendous social media following. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is. She feels Meghan didn\u2019t respect her, and didn\u2019t respect their friendship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

A spokesperson for Chopra declined to comment, but a source close to the former Miss World told me, \u201cThere are no issues between the two women. They are friends, and anything you\u2019re being told otherwise is inaccurate and untrue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chopra and Jonas seemed much friendlier in July when they visited the royals at their Cotswolds country home.<\/p>\n

A year ago, Chopra raved about Markle to Harper\u2019s Bazaar Arabia: \u201cShe\u2019s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She\u2019s normal, she\u2019s sweet, she\u2019s nice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
