The president\u2019s popularity fell to a record low after the comments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"canvas-atom canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm\">On Saturday, Duterte said that if he was Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is God and part of the Holy Trinity, he wouldn\u2019t let himself be crucified and instead would order lightning to strike to free him from the cross.
