Katherine Waterston is an American actress who is best known for her starring roles in films such as Michael Clayton, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Alien: Covenant, Steve Jobs, Inherent Vice, Logan Lucky,<\/em> and Mid90s<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Waterston, who was born on March 3, 1980, in Westminster, London, is the daughter of Academy Award-nominated actor Sam Waterston, who is best known for portraying Jack McCoy on Law & Order<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Before Waterston\u2019s film and television career took off, she performed in the play Los Angeles<\/em> by Julian Sheppard in 2007 and starred in the play Kindness<\/em> by Adam Rapp in 2008.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Waterston played the role of Gena in the Off-Broadway production of Bachelorette<\/em> in 2010, and in 2011, she portrayed Anya in the Classic Stage Company revival of The Cherry Orchard. <\/em>Also in 2011, she starred in Adam Rapp\u2019s play Dreams of Flying, Dreams of Falling<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Waterston began acting in film and television in 2007 when she had a small role in the George Clooney-starring drama film Micheal Clayton<\/em>.<\/p>\n

From 2007 to 2014, Waterston appeared in projects such asRobot & Frank, Being Flynn, The Letter, The Factory, Night Moves<\/em>, and more, before landing her breakthrough role in Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s Joaquin Phoenix-starring Inherent Vice<\/em>. Additionally, Waterston had a five-episode arc on the hit HBO drama Boardwalk Empire<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After her star turn in Inherent Vice<\/em>, Watertson began appearing in major motion pictures such as Steve Jobs, Alien: Covenant, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them<\/em>, and Logan Lucky<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Waterston appeared in Jonah Hill\u2019s directorial debut Mid90s<\/em>and the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them<\/em>, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald<\/em>.<\/p>\n
