Lais Ribeiro is the 27-year-old Brazilian model who wore the $2 million bra at the 2017 Victoria\u2019s Secret Fashion Show. The bra, called the \u201cChampagne Nights Fantasy Bra\u201d is made out of diamonds, yellow sapphires, and blue topaz. The bra weighs in at over 600 carats and took about 350 hours to craft.<\/p>\n
Ribeiro\u2019s story is an inspiring one, as she did not decide to become a model until after the birth of her son Alexandre. Following her son\u2019s birth in 2008, Lais gave in to a friend\u2019s advice and started working as a model in her native Brazil.<\/p>\n
By 2009, Ribeiro walked the major international catwalks for such designers as Shiatzy Chen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Marc Jacobs. During the fashion week of Brazil for the spring\/summer 2011 collections, Ribeiro was the most booked runway model with 27 shows during S\u00e3o Paulo Fashion Week and 26 shows during Rio Fashion Week.<\/p>\n
The 2017 Victoria\u2019s Secret fashion show was Ribeiro\u2019s sixth time walking in the show, but her first wearing the fantasy bra.<\/p>\n
