Broad City <\/em>is back in business, as the series kicked off its fourth season Wednesday night. Ilana Glazer is the co-star and co-creator of the show that airs after new episodes of South Park <\/em>on Comedy Central. Ilana is a goofy lady who loves smoking weed everyday and cracking jokes. Sounds like a perfect catch, huh?<\/p>\n

Glazer first dived into comedy while taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in 2006. She performed stand-up and improv for the next several years in New York City.<\/p>\n

In 2009, the world got its first taste of Broad City <\/em>when Glazer teamed up with Abbi Jacobson to create the Broad City <\/em>web series, which quickly gained traction, receiving positive reviews and major attention from media outlets such as Entertainment Weekly<\/i>, USA Today<\/i>, and The Wall Street Journal<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Comedian Amy Poehler caught wind of the comedic duo and helped them shop around their idea of a Broad City <\/em>pilot episode for television. In 2011, FX picked up the series. However, they didn\u2019t approve the script and ended up selling over the show\u2019s rights to Comedy Central. The show debuted in January 2014, receiving positive reviews and excellent ratings. Broad City <\/em>was Comedy Central\u2019s highest-rated first season since 2012, with an average of 1.2 million viewers.<\/p>\n

Broad City <\/em>is on their fourth season. Last night, we were treated to an origins story, revealing how the fictionalized versions of Ilana and Abbi met one another.<\/p>\n

Is Ilana Glazer single? Nope. She married her longtime boyfriend, scientist David Rooklin, in a private ceremony back in February 2017. So, no need to slide anything up in her DMs. Unless you really want to\u2026<\/p>\n
