The 29-year-old broke down in tears as he opened up about his arrest<\/span><\/p>\n

Aaron Carter has shared his side of the story following his arrest in Georgia over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Police stopped the 29-year-old singer and his girlfriend Madison Parker after they pulled into AutoZone in Cornelia, Georgia, to fix a misaligned tyre en route to his planned gig in Kansas City on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Aaron was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of \u2018drug-related objects\u2019 and obstruction of law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n

He was later released from jail on $4,610 bond.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the US singer gave a tearful interview and also responded to fans who said they were worried by his appearance in his mugshot.<\/p>\n

He tweeted saying that he \u201cwill not tolerate such lies about me regarding drug use with alleged meth, heroine and crack – it\u2019s not funny!\u201d<\/p>\n

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight , he broke down in tears as he explained that he had bought a cheap car to travel between gigs rather than rent one.<\/p>\n

“Somebody said I was driving recklessly on the road, that’s what the police report said, but the alignment was off on my car, so I went to AutoZone to see if I could do anything about it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

“A motorcyclist reported that I was swerving all over the road, but the alignment was off a little bit on the new tire.”<\/p>\n

He said when he was in AutoZone, police approached him.<\/p>\n

Aaron said he doesn\u2019t drink and only smokes marijuana to help his anxiety, chronic pain and to also increase his appetite.<\/span><\/p>\n
