The chilling confessions of two teenage killers believed to be Britain\u2019s two youngest double murderers have been revealed, after judges allowed the pair to be identified last week.<\/p>\n
Three Court of Appeal judges in London lifted a prohibition banning the identification of Kim Edwards, 15, and her 15-year-old boyfriend Lucas Markham, in the murders of Elizabeth and Katie Edwards, Kim\u2019s mother and sister, as they slept in their home in Lincolnshire in April 2016. The two hatched the plan after her mother tried to break them up, according to The Sun.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the teens, both 14 at the time of the murders, had sex after the killings, then shared a bath before watching the \u201cTwilight\u201d movies, <\/span>according to The Sun.<\/p>\n In a portion of the police interview with Kim Edwards <\/span>released earlier this month, the teen said one of the reasons behind the killings was that her mother \u201cfavored my sister more than me.\u201d<\/p>\n A new documentary to air Monday about the killings called \u201cMurdered By My Daughter\u201d features exclusive access to the confession by Markham.<\/p>\n In the audio obtained by Channel 5, Markham confessed in a calm, undramatic voice, saying, \u201cI went into her mum\u2019s room and stabbed her in the neck while she was asleep on her side and smothered her face with a pillow,\u201d according to The Sun.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd after I knew she had gone, I went into Katie\u2019s room \u2014 which is the same room as Kim\u2019s \u2014 and I thought I stabbed her, but \u2026 I thought I stabbed her, but I\u2019m not a hundred percent sure \u2014 it was, like, her on a mattress and then I smothered her face with a pillow too.\u201d<\/p>\n Markham admits killing Elizabeth, then says he killed Katie because he thought she would call the police.<\/p>\n Authorities in Lincolnshire have said the newly released information will \u201cundoubtedly focus attention\u201d on the horrific case once again.<\/p>\n \u201cThe murders of Elizabeth and Katie Edwards were horrific and brutal and the whole country shared a sense of shock that two juveniles, who were only 14 years old at the time, could have carried out such a horrendous act,\u201d Lincolnshire Detective Superintendent Martin Holvey said in a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure that sense of disbelief and horror will be deepened now it is known that it was Elizabeth\u2019s own daughter who was responsible for plotting with her boyfriend to carry out the murders.\u201d<\/p>\n The teenagers were given 20-year prison sentences in November.<\/p>\n\n The chilling confessions of two teenage killers believed to be Britain\u2019s two youngest double murderers have been revealed, after judges allowed the pair to be identified last week.
