If <\/span>Diane Keaton\u2019s life were ever made into a movie, the person she\u2019d like to play her is\u2026<\/p>\n

Wait.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, that\u2019s never gonna happen,\u201d Keaton breaks in with her familiar voice during an interview with Yahoo Celebrity. \u201cIt\u2019s not that big of a life, so I think that you\u2019re insane. You\u2019re sweet, but you\u2019re insane, OK? No one\u2019s going to do it. Moving on\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Keaton, 71, laughs before continuing. \u201cIn order for me to get that, I\u2019d have to, you know, burn down my house\u2026 I would have to really do something eventful to warrant that. I\u2019d have to be a tragedy or the devil. All these horrible things\u2026 no, there\u2019s not gonna be a movie about me. Ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, whatever Keaton thinks, she has been a <\/span>pretty<\/i> <\/span>big deal in Hollywood since her Oscar-winning role in 1977\u2019s <\/span>Annie Hall<\/i>, earning three more Oscar nods and cranking out memorable movies, including <\/span>Something\u2019s Gotta Give<\/i>, <\/span>The First Wives Club<\/i>, and <\/span>The Godfather<\/i> <\/span>trilogy, along the way. <\/span>Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, <\/span>Morgan Freeman, <\/span>Reese Witherspoon, and <\/span>Ellen DeGeneres <\/span>are just a few of the A-listers who will be sitting in the audience when the American Film Institute honors Keaton with its Life Achievement Award tonight.<\/p>\n

All of it, says the actress, can be attributed to her late parents, Dorothy and Jack Hall, but also to the breakout role, which was inspired by Keaton herself. She even suggests that this interview be titled \u201cBecause of <\/span>Annie Hall<\/i>.\u201d It\u2019s thanks to that Woody Allen <\/span>favorite, Keaton insists, that she\u2019s been able to continue working and to pursue her many interests besides acting: photography and writing, resulting in six published books and one upcoming book over the years; flipping houses (she just built her own); and fashion.<\/p>\n
