Sherri Papini \u201cliterally lived through hell\u201d during\u00a0<\/span>her 20-plus days in captivity\u00a0<\/span>\u2014 being branded and beaten and losing about 15 percent of her body weight \u2014 her husband, Keith Papini,\u00a0told ABC News\u00a0<\/span>in an interview that aired Monday.<\/p>\n

Sherri appears to have coped by imagining she was with Keith and their children Tyler, 4, and Violet, 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe things she told me,\u201d Keith told ABC\u2019s Matt Gutman, in an\u00a0on-camera interview on\u00a0Good Morning America,\u00a0<\/em>before breaking down in tears. \u201cThe things she told me that she did, talking to me each time, acting like she was tucking in our kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c told me she took a piece of cloth and rolled it up like it was Violet and she rocked it,\u201d Keith said in an interview that aired Friday\u00a0On ABC’s 20\/20<\/span>. \u201cShe was so strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sherri was abducted by force after\u00a0<\/span>going for a jog on Nov. 2 near her home\u00a0in Redding, California, Keith said on\u00a0<\/span>GMA\u00a0<\/em>on Monday. The mother-of-two\u2019s mysterious disappearance\u00a0<\/span>consumed her friends and community, who quickly went public with their fears that she was abducted.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t get into a vehicle on her own,\u201d Keith said. He said guns were involved and that Sherri did what her captors said.<\/p>\n

Keith has said\u00a0<\/span>Sherri was hit, kicked and branded \u2014 and her nose broken \u2014 during her captivity, and he said in Monday\u2019s interview she was \u201cbarely fed.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Sherri was found Thanksgiving morning\u00a0<\/span>on a roadside\u00a0about 150 miles from her home, she weighed 87 pounds, having lost about 15 percent of her body weight from an already slim frame.<\/h6>\n
Keith previously said Sherri\u00a0was found with a bag over her head and chains around her wrists and waist. Her hair had been chopped off. The woman who called 911 after seeing Sherri on the side of the road\u00a0<\/span>told PEOPLE\u00a0<\/span>she looked \u201cpanicked and frightened.\u201d<\/h6>\n
