The\u00a0<\/span>Supernatural <\/span>star announced the news on Instagram Saturday after his son and daughter were born on Friday, Dec. 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cDanneel, JJ and I are excited to announce the birth of our twins\u00a0<\/span>Zeppelin Bram<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Arrow Rhodes<\/strong>,\u201d Ackles wrote\u00a0<\/span>alongside a photo\u00a0<\/span>of Dr. Seuss\u2019 Thing 1 and Thing 2. \u201cThey were born early yesterday morning. Everyone is doing great! #twinning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zeppelin\u00a0and Arrow\u00a0join the couple\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>3-year-old\u00a0<\/span>daughter, new big sister\u00a0Justice Jay, A.K.A. \u201cJJ.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for\u00a0the actors, who\u00a0<\/span>tied the knot\u00a0<\/span>in Dallas in May 2010, confirmed they were expecting a son and daughter\u00a0<\/span>exclusively to PEOPLE\u00a0<\/span>in August.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoublemint here we come!\u201d Harris Ackles, 37, captioned\u00a0<\/span>an Instagram shot\u00a0<\/span>of five pairs of boots, each corresponding to a member of their family.<\/p>\n

Ackles, 38,\u00a0and his now-wife began dating in 2006 shortly before the release of their film\u00a0Ten Inch Hero<\/em>, becoming engaged three years later.<\/p>\n

The twosome each starred on their own CW television series:\u00a0One<\/em> Tree Hill \u00a0<\/span>for Harris Ackles, and\u00a0Supernatural\u00a0<\/em>for Ackles, on which he still stars as one half of the Winchester brothers alongside costar\u00a0<\/span>Jared Padalecki.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The newest additions to the Ackles family are in for one fun dad. In 2015, the actor\u00a0<\/span>took to Twitter<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>to share his reasoning behind\u00a0<\/span>joining Instagram<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>shortly after\u00a0posting\u00a0<\/span>a sweet photo<\/a>of himself and then-2-year-old JJ.<\/p>\n
