Relatives gathered at the Coney Island Memorial Chapel on Neptune Ave. in Brooklyn to say goodbye to the 30-year-old mother-of-two, murdered on Friday in Sea Gate.<\/p>\n

Loved ones brought flowers and said farewell to Iveliss Alvarado-Genoa at Coney Island funeral home on Tuesday.<\/h2>\n

Alvarado-Genao, 30, was working as a nurse at a veteran\u2019s hospital in Maryland, but returned home to Coney Island recently. She had two daughters, aged 4 and 9.<\/p>\n

Her husband remains on the loose. Authorities allege that Gabino Genao, 30, shot his wife twice in the face outside her relatives\u2019 home after she rejected his attempt at reconciling their marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had split up some time ago, but he wouldn\u2019t let go,\u201d Alvarado said Tuesday. \u201cHe was jealous. He is a sick man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alvarado-Genao\u2019s brother-in-law, former Mets star Melvin Mora, said the family is reeling from the loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wanted nothing to do with him,\u201d Mora said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what could have crossed through his mind. She was beautiful, just beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
