Taste your dish as it\u2019s cooking, and only add salt or butter if it really tastes like it needs it.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t be afraid to add them just for the sake of saving a few calories \u2013 life is too short for bland food, and your friends will never come over for dinner again if your stew tastes like the main ingredient is cardboard.<\/p>\n<h3>Soup<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1396\" height=\"785\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-33793\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/170510coach_soup.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/170510coach_soup.jpg 1396w, https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/170510coach_soup-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/170510coach_soup-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/170510coach_soup-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1396px) 100vw, 1396px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Creamy soups are the best soups, but they tend to be the most high-calorie. To get that thick texture and satisfying taste, use Greek yoghurt instead of cream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdd a couple of tablespoons after taking it off the stove to boost the creaminess and protein, without adding a significant amount of kilojoules,\u201d Landau advises. \u201cUse non-starchy vegetables such as cauliflower as the base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soup freezes well, so it\u2019s a good idea to make a batch and store it for nights you don\u2019t feel like cooking.
