I was ready to write a post about how Hailee Steinfeld is yet another of the dime-a-dozen actress or singer or model or whatever that Justin Bieber was dating, and that she\u2019ll be out of sight, out of mind, in about three months.<\/p>\n

But then I used the ole\u2019 Google machine to do some research on the post, and I found out that back in 2010, she was the little girl in True Grit<\/em>. I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ve ever seen True Grit, <\/em>but it stars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin, so you can imagine how awesome it is based just on whose in it.<\/p>\n

    So now, here we are seven years later, and that girl from True Grit<\/em> has apparently (according to Google) become quite the big star.<\/p>\n

    Steinfeld, born in December of 1996, is not only an actress, but a model and singer as well. She first became known for her portrayal of Mattie Ross in the aforementioned True Grit<\/i>, for which she was remarkably nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.<\/p>\n

    Afterwards, she had roles in Petra Arkanian in Ender\u2019s Game<\/i> (2013), Juliet Capulet in Romeo & Juliet<\/i> (2013), Violet Mulligan in Begin Again<\/i> (2013), Zooey Renner in 3 Days to Kill<\/i> (2014), and Nadine Franklin in The Edge of Seventeen<\/i> (2016), for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination.<\/p>\n

    After appearing in and singing in Pitch Perfect 2<\/em>, Steinfield signed to Republic Records, and released her debut single, \u201cLove Myself\u201d, which has been certified platinum.<\/p>\n

    Oh, and now that she\u2019s twenty, she looks like this:<\/p>\n
