Of all the decorations you can use for Halloween, fake blood is the easiest to make in your home and the most cost-effective. You can create incredibly creepy effects without spending a lot of money, using these recipes which are 100% safe and natural. Most of these recipes call for corn syrup to give them the same texture as real blood, and a few drops of yellow or blue food coloring to obtain the reddish-brown hue of real blood.<\/p>\n

You can also use these blood recipes in your halloween costumes, but be careful what you put them on. Many of them may stain nice fabrics, so I recommend that you use them on decorations that are only for Halloween, or that you put down old sheets or fabrics on furniture and walls, before going wild with your bloodbath. Allow a couple of hours for it to dry before your party.<\/p>\n

Classic Fake Blood<\/h2>\n

1 cup<\/strong> corn syrup<\/p>\n

1 tablespoon<\/strong> water<\/p>\n

2 tablespoons<\/strong> red food coloring<\/p>\n

1 teaspoon<\/strong> yellow food coloring<\/p>\n

Mix all of the ingredients together, and voila!<\/em> You’re in business.<\/p>\n

Chocolate Fake Blood<\/h2>\n

1 cup<\/strong> hot water (not boiling, but at least hot enough to dissolve the cocoa powder)<\/p>\n

8 tablespoons <\/strong>of corn syrup<\/p>\n

2 tablespoons<\/strong> of powdered cocoa (dark chocolate powder is the best, find it in the baking section)<\/em><\/p>\n

2 teaspoons<\/strong> of red food coloring<\/p>\n

Blend the water and cocoa together until all of the lumps disappear and then add the rest of the ingredients.<\/p>\n

Very Realistic Fake Blood- for a Hitchcock movie<\/h2>\n

2\/3 cup<\/strong> corn syrup<\/p>\n

1\/3 cup <\/strong>hot water<\/p>\n

5 tablespoons<\/strong> corn starch<\/p>\n

4 teaspoons<\/strong> red food coloring<\/p>\n

1 tablespoon<\/strong> cocoa powder<\/p>\n

2 drops<\/strong> of green or yellow food coloring<\/p>\n

Mix the cocoa powder with the water, then add the corn starch. Make sure there are no lumps. Add the corn syrup and mix together well. While mixing, slowly add the food coloring until you achieve your desired color.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
