She posted the email chain on Twitter and the response has been insane!<\/p>\n

For many workers it\u2019s the reason they go out and get a job in the first place. So it\u2019s understandable that a young Canadian woman was left gobsmacked after her job application was rejected because she asked about pay and benefits.<\/p>\n

Taylor Byrnes had just finished a phone interview with Winnipeg-based takeaway food service Skip the Dishes, when she followed up with an email asking what the hourly rate would be should she get the job.<\/p>\n

She had already been offered a second interview after the first \u201cwent well\u201d. But the response she received was nothing short of astonishing.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour questions reveal that your priorities are not in sync with those of Skip the Dishes,\u201d the company representative wrote back. \u201cAt this time we will not be following through with our meeting this Thursday.\u201d<\/p>\n
