Employees in Sweden are allowed an hour break to exercise their bodies in the middle of the workday, but one politician in the country wants them to use that hour for, you guessed it, sex. “There are studies that show sex is healthy,” Per-Erik Muskos, a 42-year-old city councillor of \u00d6vertornea, told the AFP news agency. “It’s about having better relationships,” he said.<\/p>\n
Muskos argues that couples are not spending enough intimate time with one another, and his risqu\u00e9 proposal would actually improve relationships. Muskos also believes the lack of sex Swedish employees are having is causing a ripple effect on the country’s reduced population rate.<\/p>\n
“This means that childbirth should be encouraged,” he wrote in his proposal. “When sex is also an excellent form of exercise with documented positive effects on well-being, the municipality should kill two birds with one stone and encourage employees to use their fitness hour to go home and have sex with their partner.”<\/p>\n
