There\u2019s something about a new year that has us all wanting to do something different with our hair. I alternate between wanting to cut it <\/span>all<\/em> <\/span>off and grow out my bangs, while our site director just lopped off about two inches, and Emily is eagerly trying to maintain her bob. And the search for new hair inspiration has us continually returning to Pinterest.<\/p>\n

As *the* go-to for <\/span>anything<\/em> <\/span>inspiration, we turned to them to see what the most searched-for cuts and styles were so far for 2017.<\/p>\n

The shag is taking over top spot from the lob, or long bob. And although we think pretty much any cut as sold by Freja would be one we\u2019d want, this is pretty damn cute.<\/span><\/p>\n

We <\/span><\/span>*already* called this, but the biggest red carpet look this season is a slicked-back bob. It looks fancy <\/span><\/span>and<\/em> <\/span>lazy, somehow simultaneously, so we\u2019re obviously into it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nina Dobrev\u2019s bob is another big trend this year, with \u201cchoppy bob\u201d search up 68 percent from last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the best case of \u201cif it ain\u2019t broke, don\u2019t fix it,\u201d <\/span><\/span>the lob <\/span>is <\/span><\/span>still<\/em> <\/span>a much-searched term. A long bob looks modern and sleek, but with layers it\u2019s also tousled and fun\u2014<\/span>and<\/em> it requires very little maintenance. Long live the lob!<\/span><\/p>\n
