Zayn Malik<\/a> <\/span>has defended his girlfriend <\/span>Gigi Hadid<\/a> <\/span>after she was accused of \u2018mocking Asians\u2019 on social media.<\/p>\n

Hadid, 21, was seen squinting her eyes as she held up a Buddha cookie and appeared to impersonate the face in an <\/span>Instagram<\/a> <\/span>story posted by her sister <\/span>Bella Hadid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The video, which has since been removed, was met with a backlash online and saw Gigi faced with allegations of racism.<\/p>\n

One user questioned how she can \u2018make fun\u2019 of Asians when her boyfriend is of Pakistani descent.<\/p>\n

Clearly unfazed by her actions he joked: \u201cTrust me.. she likes asians ;).\u201d<\/p>\n
