Yes, it’s not a topic that’s exactly fitting for your Sunday brunch but the hair found in your nether regions is a completely normal and healthy bodily function.
Butt hair’s purpose is to protect your body from the outside elements, just as eyelashes do for the eyes and armpit hair prevents your arms from chafing against your sides.
Science -savvy video blogger, Hank Green took on this taboo topic on his channel Scishow and untangled a few facts.
Despite human bodies evolving over the course of millions of years, butt hair still continues to evolve with us, it even has its own scent that’s primal purpose is to attract members of the opposite sex.
So butt hair certainly isn’t budging anytime soon and if you are wanting an angel-worthy bottom there are ways that you can maintain it.

For many women who already maintain their nether regions with laser hair removal, the next step is to opt for the ‘Hollywood’ look, a treatment that completely rids your bottom of any pubic hair.
“Women opt for the Hollywood treatment to lessen the risk of ingrown hairs in their bottom, it’s also seen as more hygienic ,” Laser hair removal therapist Jessie told 9Style.
Like all hair removal procedures you will need a few sessions to be completely ‘butt-hair-free’.
“You’ll need to get 8-10 treatments to reduce hair growth in the area, with 4 weeks inbetween each session to get the best results,” says Jessie.
