First Lady Melania Trump wowed the crowd across The Pond during her and her presidential hubby’s visit Monday, looking dazzling in a simple yet elegant ivory gown at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
The first lady’s stunning, floor-grazing, silk crepe creation featured sheer detailing and was similar to one in Dior’s spring ’19 couture collection. Melania accessorized the custom-made gown with matching over- the-elbow white gloves.

Earlier, for her initial meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Melania chose a prim but fetching white Dolce & Gabbana dress with a midnight-blue collar and belt.
The controversial D&G design duo — Stefano Gabbana, in particular, is known for his outspoken political, religious and cultural opinions — have long been sartorial supporters of America’s first lady.
Melania topped off her smart look with a coordinating wide-brimmed hat custom-made by French-American designer Hervé Pierre, who frequently dresses the 49-year-old former model.
When she and President Trump first touched down at the London Stansted Airport, Melania paid homage to England by stepping off the plane in a blouse designed by the iconic British fashion house Burberry.
The first lady paired the fashionable top with a sleek navy pencil skirt and blazer by American designer Michael Kors and navy heels by French designer Christian Louboutin.
Kors once said, “Mrs. Trump has been a longtime client at our New York boutique. She has a keen understanding of what works best for her and her lifestyle.”
