On Sunday, model Kate Bock announced her engagement to NBA star Kevin Love, 32, revealing the proposal took place over her birthday weekend.
“Well, this was the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined. I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to be a Love by my love. 🤍🤍🤍 Heart bursting all day & night,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty, 33, gushed on Instagram.
We’re told Love, a power forward with the Cleveland Cavaliers, popped the question Saturday at a private dining space outdoors at Brooklyn’s Lilia restaurant.
Page Six Style is also told that Love designed the ring himself and worked with a jeweler out of London. The source described it as a vintage diamond cut from the 1930s for Cartier and set in a vintage Cartier setting.
Kathryn Money, Brilliant Earth‘s SVP of merchandising and retailing expansion, estimates the ring could be worth between $50,000 and $100,000. Mike Fried, the CEO of The Diamond Pro, also estimated the ring’s value at north of $100,000.
Love, who first crossed paths with Bock in 2016, also penned a touching note on Instagram following the proposal.
“‘Souls tend to go back to who feels like home.’ My Fiancé. The Joy of My Life,” Love gushed.
Bock, who is repped by The Society Management, previously told The Post she didn’t watch basketball prior to meeting Love.
“Before I met Kevin, I had never watched basketball. When we first started dating, I was gifted ‘Basketball for Dummies,’” she said.
