Gwyneth Paltrow, born September 27, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, is an actress who won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love.
Paltrow’s professional acting debut came in the 1989 TV movie High, which was directed by her father Bruce Paltrow. Her feature film debut came in 1991 when she appeared in the John Travolta starring movie Shout.
In in 1995, Paltrow had her biggest role to date, appearing as the wife of Brad Pitt’s character in the David Fincher-directed thriller Se7en.
Paltrow’s career skyrocketed in 1998 when she starred in five different feature films: Great Expectations, Sliding Doors, Hush, A Perfect Murder and the award-winning, John Madden-directed film Shakespeare in Love.
